Yup!  In your missives, post the desired effect of the spell, as well as what spell (or spells) you want to base your new spell on, and we'll go from there.  Tsid and I composed his new spell in about 30 mins!  Smiley

ANYONE who casts spells (i.e. druids, bards, sorcerers, wizards, rangers, clerics, paladins, etc) can craft their own spells at a certain level.  So, if you'd like to join in folks - let me know!

This is specifically for the Admiral; seeing he's been hallowed for while, and known of his anti-aquatic disposition, I figure he already knows this spell (if you OK it, o'course, Mr. DM), and would've made a ring with it always active--he just left the ring at home, because he didn't concern himself with the ice and snow of Unbroken Serenity...Or, that's my reckoning (though you may ken otherwise).

Skein of Moisture Whisking
Sor/Wis 3
Cast: 1a
V,S,M
Range: Touch
Duration: 10min/lv
Save: Fort(neg)(h); see text
SR: no

When cast, the subject is limned in a hazy skein, preventing water from touching the creature. This hedges out water elementals (as magic circle against evil, except that each creature can make a will save at this spell's DC to temporarily breach the spell; this save must be made for every touch attempt, since a breach immediately mends); it also blocks mist, water, or any ability or spell with water in the description. If the warded creature enters a body of water, the skein acts as a buffer between him and the stream, lake, ocean, etc. He must still make swim checks to move and can still suffocate due to a lack of oxygen.

Material Component: Sea salt

No problem, Griss. It's still in the DM's hands, though. Wink

True Death Sentence

Lv. 18
You intone the final dictum for an outsider and seal its fate with a powerful geas.

Soul boosts to MAG

Target must succeed a Soul vs. Body check. If he fails, he is bound by an indellible mark that allows him to be slain outside his home plane and never resurrect. If he fails by 5 or more, he is trapped on the plane he is currently on, unable to leave by conventional means of magic or technology.

True Death Interdiction

Lv. 19
You intone a final dictum against a host of condemned outsiders and seal their fate with a powerful geas.

Soul boosts to MAG and Distance (+10ft per boost)
Circle 10ft

Targets within range must make a Soul vs. Body check. If they fail, they are bound by an indelible mark that allows him to be slain outside his home plane and never resurrect. If he fails by 5 or more, he is trapped on the plane he is currently one, unable to leave by conventional means of magic or technology. Failing by 10 or more roots the target to the ground (play IMMOBILE).

I would add the addition "If failed by 10 or more..." to "True Death Sentence" as well.
